Hayedos de mayo

Les lluces de la ciudá
llíndienme cabo la mar
hasta la playa balera
onde'l carbón y l'arena
s'abracen una vez más.

El presente queda atrás,
presu del atapecer.
Pasen sieglos nun momentu,
y oigo como nun llamentu
la voz de la soledá.

Andarina, vienes tarde,
andarina, vienes tarde,
vistida de sol y orbayu,
traes oro y plata traes
a los fayeos de mayo.

Pente ñubes de robín,
siento l'alma mineral,
trabayada en desengaños,
apagada como'l faro
d'una mar d'escoria gris.

Fatigáu del camín,
engurriáu pol bramar
d'innumerables hibiernos,
suaño los díes eternos,
espierto en nueches sin fin.

Andarina, vienes tarde,
andarina, vienes tarde,
esllumando como'l rayu,
risca l'alba d'esmeralda
pelos fayeos de mayo.

Pente calles de cristal,
trona'l cantu del nordés
con palabres de poeta,
evocándome una idea,
tresportándome al llugar ...

... onde ñaguo por volver,
ente los montes del sur,
onde vuela'l sitiu míu,
onde too tien sentíu,
onde soi quien quiero ser.

Andarina, vienes tarde,
andarina, vienes tarde,
endolquiada del to cantu.
Yá relluma la rosada
pelos fayeos de mayo.

Cuántes promeses traxeras
con aquella primavera
y marcharon col verano.
Llevóme la vida entera
regresar a la to vera
y a los fayeos de mayo.

Andarina, vienes tarde,
andarina, vienes tarde,
vistida de sol y orbayu.
Yá ye tiempu que descanse
so los fayeos de mayo.

Andarina, vienes tarde,
andarina, vienes tarde,
esllumando como'l rayu.
Risca l'alba d'esmeralda
pelos fayeos de mayo.

Ríos de oro fluyen allí desde toda la tierra

Dicen que dijo el poeta; pero yo solo encuentro la traducción a la lengua franca:

"The terrible, cold, cruel part is Wall Street. Rivers of gold flow there from all over the earth, and death comes with it. There, as nowhere else, you feel a total absence of the spirit: herds of men who cannot count past three, herds more who cannot get past six, scorn for pure science and demoniacal respect for the present.
And the terrible thing is that the crowd that fills the Street believes that the world will always be the same, and that it is their duty to keep that huge machine running, day and night, forever."
Federico Garcia Lorca

Ariel, Barcelona, 1981.

I want roses in my garden bower

Wow I'm sick of doubt.
Live in the light of certain
South
Cruel Bindings.

The servants have the power
dog-men & their mean women
pulling poor blankets over
our sailors.

I'm sick of dour faces
Staring at me from the T.V.
tower. I want roses in
my garden bower, dig?
Royal babies, rubies
must now replace aborted
Strangers in the mud.

These mutants, blood-meal
For the plant that's plowed.

They are waiting to take us into
The Severed Garden.

Do you know how pale and wanton thrillful
comes death on a strange hour
unannounced, unplanned for
like scaring over-friendly guest you've
brought to bed.

Death makes angels of us all
and gives us wings
where we once had shoulders
smooth as raven's
claws.

No more money, no more fancy dress,
this other kingdom seems by far the best
until it's other jaw reveals incest
and loose obedience to a vegetable law.

I will not go.
Prefer a Feast of Friends
to the Giant Family.

Qué puedo decir, que no se haya dicho ya con más arte?

None but ourselves can free our minds

"We are going to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery because whilst others might free the body, none but ourselves can free the mind."

Old pirates, yes, they rob I;
Sold I to the merchant ships,
Minutes after they took I
From the bottomless pit.
But my hand was made strong
By the 'and of the Almighty.
We forward in this generation
Triumphantly.
Won't you help to sing
This songs of freedom
'Cause all I ever have:
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy,
'Cause none of them can stop the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets,
While we stand aside and look? Ooh!
Some say it's just a part of it:
We've got to fullfil the book.

Won't you help to sing
This songs of freedom-
'Cause all I ever have:
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our mind.
Wo! Have no fear for atomic energy,
'Cause none of them-a can-a stop-a the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets,
While we stand aside and look?
Yes, some say it's just a part of it:
We've got to fullfil the book.
Won't you have to sing
This songs of freedom? -
'Cause all I ever had:
Redemption songs -
All I ever had:
Redemption songs:
These songs of freedom,
Songs of freedom.
